Interview: Pop legend Cyndi Lauper scores ‘Kinky Boots’

It was adapted from a film based on the true story of a shoe-factory owner in working class England who takes over the struggling family business and saves it from bankruptcy by catering to a new niche market---boots for drag queens.
The musical won six Tonys, including best score by writer, composer and pop music icon Cyndi Lauper.
