King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard, ‘Gamma Knife’

June 20, 2016

Less than half a year since King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard released the album "Paper Mache Dream Balloon," the Australian band is back with its eight studio full-length.

The new album, "Nonagon Infinity," continues a prolific hot streak of catchy, quirky psychedelic rock releases since 2010. The nine-song album feels like a cohesive statement. It even concludes with the same guitar riff that kicks off the opening song.

The standout track "Gamma Knife" is a chaotic dose of 1960s style garage rock that would fit right in on Lenny Kaye's influential "Nuggets" compilation.
