Watch: Valley Maker’s Latest Video Is Chock-Full Of Beautiful Colorado Scenery

His latest music video -- for the song "Oh Lightning" off his latest album "When I Was A Child" -- features plenty of beautiful Colorado scenery.

Denver-based filmmaker Joseph Kolean shot the video across several Boulder County locations like Gross Reservoir and Barker Reservoir, as well as Clear Creek Canyon. He also filmed in Wyoming and New Mexico.

Kolean told us the Centennial State is an ideal setting for his work:

"I'm inspired by the quiet yet overwhelming moments of splendor and mystery that Colorado's landscape so often provides. And I'm intrigued by desolation, as well as the creeping sense of dread that is sometimes felt in places that are new and strange."

Crane's plaintive folk music is a natural fit for the Rocky Mountain locales in the "Oh Lightning" video. Watch it above.

Kolean has previously filmed videos in Colorado for Valley Maker and North Carolina artist Hiss Golden Messenger. Watch a selection of those below.
