Guitarist and songwriter Benjamin Booker grew up a steady diet of punk rock and New Orleans soul before releasing his self-titled debut album in 2014. He skillfully combined those influences on that record, and would soon land major festival appearances, performances on late night TV shows and an opening spot on a Jack White tour.
Last month Booker returned with his sophomore album, "Witness." It opens with the furiously paced "Right On You," a thrilling blues-rock cut strengthened by Booker's raspy vocals.
Benjamin Booker will perform July 30 at the Underground Music Showcase in Denver.
