Since Widowspeak's last LP, singer Molly Hamilton moved from the band's home state of New York to her childhood home of Tacoma, Wash. As a result "Expect The Best," the dream pop band's fourth full-length, is its most introspective.
On the single "Dog," Hamilton confronts the restlessness of staying in one place for too long. The music sounds heavier than ever while the band maintains the atmospheric shoegaze elements that characterize its earlier work.
