After winning over countless news fans with its self-titled debut album, Alvvays teamed up with in demand producer John Congleton for its next record. As a result, the Toronto band -- led by singer-songwriter Molly Rankin -- sounds focused and confident on its sophomore LP, "Antisocialites."
Like most Alvvays songs, the single "Dreams Tonite" doesn't take long to hook you in. Its melody is as strong as any Rankin's written, and she delivers it with poignantly inquisitive lyrics.
