The Underground Music Showcase -- the annual music festival which primarily features local and under-the-radar acts -- returns July 27-29 to Denver's South Broadway neighborhood. Organizers today revealed this year's initial music lineup.
Headliners include Toronto pop-rock band Alvvays, Atlanta experimental rockers Deerhunter, Brooklyn hip-hop trio Digable Planets, New York City band Frankie Cosmos and indie rock pioneers Superchunk.
Colorado highlights include Rubedo, The Still Tide, Wildermiss, The Other Black, Boss Eagle and The Velveteers. See the full lineup at the UMS website.
This year's festival will be presented by new organizers. Denver company Two Parts purchased the festival earlier this year from the Denver Post, which founded the event in 2001.
