The Almost Snow Ball Fight

The state legislature took a snow day on Thursday afternoon and Friday, giving lawmakers time to travel home in blizzard like conditions. But for a few legislators the snow was cause for some fun Bente Birkeland reports from Denver.

Health Care Proposals

The Hospital Affordability Act passed out of the Colorado House yesterday; it now heads to the senate. The measure aims to gives an additional 100 thousand people in Colorado health insurance by leveraging more federal dollars for Medicaid. But it’s not the only major healthcare proposal in the works this session.

More stringent rules to govern Colorado’s energy industry continue to make their way through the state legislature despite the objections of Republicans who say it will cost the state jobs.
