Durangoans Sentenced in Artifact Looting Case

Listen Now

Three Durango residents have been sentenced for stealing and selling American Indian artifacts dug up around the Four Corners area. They were among two dozen people from Colorado, New Mexico and Utah charged in the federal case. It’s been controversial. Some say the government entrapped the collectors; others say the government is letting them off easy. And some of the people charged committed suicide. Pat Mack speaks with reporter Brandon Loomis, who's covering the case in federal court in Utah for The Salt Lake Tribune.
