Beloved Denver retro-pop band Dressy Bessy stopped by OpenAir for a chat and a performance! The band formed in 1997 and over the years have released fun, sugar-coated, indie-pop albums that have long kept them one of the most fun bands to see live in Denver. Thier songs have been featured on the soundtrack to cult indie film But I'm A Cheerleader as well as the Emmy-award winning television show Grey's Anatomy.

The long-time Denver band just released two new singles "Hey Alice" and "Little Pieces" for a new Summer Singles Volume 1 progressive album that will be digitally released over the course of the summer on the band's website. The band says, "The Summer Singles collection will keep you dancing all summer with releases in May, July and a back to school single in September." The band hopes to later release these singles on vinyl.

While they were in the OpenAir studio, morning show host Alisha Sweeney talked to them about their rich musical history in Colorado and internationally, including catching the eye of legendary BBC host John Peel in 2003 and recording a Peel Session with him. Plus they play three great live songs from their deep catalog.
