Throughout 2014, CPR Classical continued to welcome notable musicians into the CPR Performance Studio. The guest list included internationally recognized soloists, talented local professionals and up-and-coming young musicians.

Simone Dinnerstein    

Pianist Simone Dinnerstein, known for unique takes on the music of J.S. Bach, offered a performance of Bach's Inventions No. 1, 13 and 10:

Anne-Marie McDermott   

The Bravo! Vail director played Haydn’s Piano Sonata in C major, first movement, during her session for the CPR Classical Special “At the Piano with Anne-Marie McDermott:”

Pianist Anne-Marie McDermott, the artistic director at Bravo! Vail, visited the CPR Performance studio Dec. 19, 2013, and performed the first movement of Joseph Haydn's Piano Sonata in C Major. Her dog, Samantha, tagged along.  

Dover Quartet   

While in town for a Friends of Chamber Music concert, The Dover Quartet played two pieces at CPR, including Dvorak’s String Quartet No. 11:

Mozart’s String Quartet No. 20:

The Dover Quartet performs Mozart's String Quartet No. 20 in G major, third movement, in the CPR Performance Studio. Recorded Dec. 3, 2014.

Charles Wetherbee   

Boulder Philharmonic concertmaster Charles Wetherbee played several pieces in the Performance Studio, including Edward Elgar's "Salut d'Amour:"

Richard Strauss' Violin Sonata in E flat major:

Jules Massenet's "Meditation:"

Erik Peterson and Felix Petit   

The Colorado Symphony violinists performed two of Bela Bartok’s duets for violin:

Silver Ainomae  

The Colorado Symphony principal cellist stopped by for a guest DJ session and played excerpts from J.S. Bach’s Suites for Unaccompanied Cello:

Cellist Silver Ainomae plays Sarabande from J.S. Bach's Cello Suite No. 5. Recorded in the CPR Performance Studio Nov. 17, 2014. Ainomae is principal cellist of the Colorado Symphony and Artistic Director of Englewood Arts.

Denver School of the Arts students   

A quartet from the school performed a movement from Dvorak’s String Quartet in G:

Denver School of the Arts students perform the first movement of Antonín Dvořák's String Quintet in G major in the CPR Performance Studio on Nov. 11, 2014. Artur Korotin and Rachel England, violins; Makenzi Wade, viola; Grayson Dixon, cello; Gabe Rupp, double bass.

Zachary Carrettin   

The Boulder Bach Festival director and Mystery Sonata member played “Jovana Jovanke,” a traditional solo violin piece:

CPR on Santa Fe 

Outside the CPR Performance Studio, a CPR on Santa Fe event at Artwork Network featured performances by pianist Jeffrey Kahane, Colorado Symphony flutist Brook Ferguson and pianist Jan Lisiecki. Here's Kahane playing the Aria from Bach's "Goldberg" Variations:

Ferguson performed Partita No. 2 in A minor by J.S. Bach:
