Secretary of the Interior Sally Jewell will be visiting Aspen Friday, but residents of Moffat County are disappointed she hasn't yet said she is coming to Craig.

The Craig Daily Press reports that Jewell has a series of events scheduled in Colorado in July and August. Residents of Craig, which is about three hours from Aspen, have been waiting for a visit from Jewell ever since a federal judge ruled against the Interior Department and threatened to stop work at the Colowyo coal mine.

Department of the Interior spokeswoman Emily Beyer says Jewell's schedule will be released later this week.

Jewell will speak as part of the Aspen Institute's Hurst lecture series. She will also attend public meetings on the federal coal program in Denver and Gillette, Wyoming next month.
