Two Firms Vie to Redevelop Denvers Union Station

Two developers have two different visions for Denver's historic Union Station. One plan would sink light rail below the station and build two high-rises nearby (www.unionstationpartners.com) The other would keep light rail aboveground, but just down the street from the station (www.unionstationnow.com). Both would renovate the main hall and add retail, office and residential space. Ferd Belz, of Cherokee Denver, represents Union Station Partners. Mark Falcone leads the team of Continuum-East West Partners. They talk to Ryan Warner. Also, Colorado Matters' producer Andrea Dukakis talks to Mariia Zimmerman, vice president for policy at Reconnecting America, based in Oakland, California. The group studies and consults on public transportation projects across the country.
