Now and again, we dip into our StoryFiles and listen back to memorable moments on Colorado Matters. Today, Colorado author Craig Childs and his encounters in the wild. Several years ago, Childs wrote a book of essays called “The Animal Dialogues.” There’s a chapter on bears and one on porcupines. The essay on hawks is an encounter not with the animal itself, but with its tracks.
