Marijuana and drug policy reform activists plan to celebrate Colorado’s marijuana legalization with a victory lap in downtown Denver Thursday afternoon. They plan a march to Skyline Park to hold a block party. It’s part of the International Drug Policy Reform Conference taking place in Denver. Tony Newman is with the New York-based Drug Policy Alliance, one of the conference sponsors. He tells CPR’s Pat Mack that they’re celebrating more than marijuana legalization.
