Film I Saw: God Help The Girl
Best Food: Samosas with tamarind-date sauce from Whip In
The final day of SXSW was spent waiting in lines only to be turned away to shows I had been wanting to see or only getting into show's during the group's final songs of their sets!
It was a rainy, overcast day in Austin. I met some friends at Whip In for "Indian breakfast" and planned out my day. The things on my list to do were: hang out at the Reverb showcase and go see Stuart Murdoch of Belle & Sebastian's debut film. Not on my list: see Britt Daniel of Spoon walking down a side street by himself to the same film screening as myself. In passing, I asked him when he was going to put out a new Spoon record and he replied that the band had just finished recording this past week.
