Singer-songwriter Dana Falconberry made her way up to our CPR Performance Studio via Austin, Texas, before a return to Denver's Leon Gallery for a headlining show. Falconberry recently gained a national spotlight on NPR Music's Heavy Rotation feature for her new song "Palmless," a foray into electronic pop. It's a song certainly deserving of its praise, and was produced in part by Spoon drummer Jim Eno.
Falconberry was recommended to us by local favorites Ark Life and Paper Bird, and we were happy to welcome her into our studio last week. In addition to playing three new songs including "Palmless," she spoke with Keefer Fulgham about the natural imagery in her songs, recording in a national forest in Arkansas, and her high opinion of the Leon Gallery.
