Friday at UMS 2014: Tanlines, Ian Cooke, and more

It's Day Two of the Denver Post UMS! Here are some OpenAir-recommended acts to see on Friday, July 25 with set times and venues to guide your UMS journey.

6 p.m.

photo: UMS photo for Scott blogIt’s Friday and it’s all about the music. Kyle James Hauser starts at the Skylark, while the ethereal Chimney Choir echo throughout the South Broadway Christian Church. Illegal Pete hosts A Mouthful of Thunder, and The Blue Rider gallops into 3 Kings.

7 p.m.

Face time with Face​Man at the Skylark. The Mainstage launches Astronautilis, and Convenhoven congregates back at the South Broadway Christian Church.

8 p.m.

Residual Kid makes their first appearance at this year’s UMS at 3 Kings, StaG will hardly be alone at Hi Dive, hear Patrick Dethlefs set at the South Broadway Christian Church, or come out to the mainstage to improve your Tanlines.

9 p.m.

The main stage wraps up the outdoor portion of Friday with the intensity of People Under the Stairs. Navy sails into the South Broadway Christian Church, Rachel and the Kings rule the Irish Rover. This is also the time to catch Dragondeer at the Skylark and The Other Black and Illegal Petes.

10 p.m.

Heaven and you know what reigns at 10 p.m. with Ian Cooke at the South Broadway Christian Church and Colfax Speed Queen at 3 Kings.

11 p.m.

The Yawpers wail at the Skylark, Mosey West mosies into the Irish Rover, and Accordian Crimes get away with it at Eslinger Gallery.
