‘The Simpsons’: 15 notable musical guest appearances

Photo: Simpsons James BrownBeginning Thursday, August 22, FXX will air all 552 episodes of "The Simpsons" consecutively. The epic marathon kicks off with the pilot at 8 a.m. and runs a staggering 12 days through Labor Day on Sept. 1.
 
Throughout its 25 years, "The Simpsons" has had more than a handful of notable musical guest appearances, and we thought we'd highlight a few of our favorites:
