As sales of recreational pot continue to grow in Colorado, many marijuana industry entrepreneurs, or "ganjapreneurs," feel that green is the new gold.
“The Marijuana Show,” a new web-based reality series that’s billed as “The Apprentice” meets “Shark Tank” for cannabis, aims to give the most promising canna-business entrepreneurs an opportunity to learn from experienced business moguls.
The show's producers, who aim to start filming the series later this month in Denver, held two days of auditions in September where anyone could pitch business ideas to the show’s three judges.
We sent CPR arts bureau contributor Jeremy Brieske to the auditions - held at The Watering Bowl in Denver in September - to scout out the business ideas.
As our correspondent discovered in the audio postcard he created for this Friday's Colorado Art Report, the business concepts were varied, encompassing everything from a smoker-friendly "bud and breakfast" hotel to a cannabis-centric floral design service.
