OpenAir Music Director Jessi Whitten share her top pick in this month's edition of "Heavy Rotation," a great resource for music discovery from NPR Music. It includes a monthly sample of downloadable songs recommended by music aficionados from public radio stations across the country. Jessi offered up the song "Hiding in the Pale Walls" off Denver band Snake Rattle Rattle Snake's new album "Totem."
Get more on "Totem" from OpenAir, including the album review, an interview with the band and the exclusive video premiere for the opening track. Another track off the album is also up for grabs as the current Download of the Week.
If classical music is more your taste, check New Releases on cprclassical.org and read tips and reviews from classical hosts, like Jean Inaba's recent article about a new recording of Bach violin pieces by Lisa Batiashvili.
