Insurance companies from around the state have filed requests for rate changes for 2016 with the state’s Division of Insurance.
One of the largest insurers, Colorado Health OP, is asking for a nearly 22 percent rate hike for individual medical plans. Rocky Mountain Health Maintenance Organization is seeking a 34 percent increase.
Others consumers are likely to see little change. Kaiser Foundation Health Plan is looking for 2 percent increase.
The requests must still be reviewed and approved by the Division of Insurance.
