The Underground Music Showcase returns for its 15th year in Denver this weekend. With more than 400 acts scheduled to perform Thursday through Sunday along South Broadway, the UMS lineup is rife with remarkable Colorado artists along with national headliners like STRFKR and DIIV.

Here's a sampling of just a few of the artists set to play the event and footage of them in the CPR Performance Studio. Check out the videos below and find out when and where they'll play this weekend.

Visit our website throughout the UMS for our live blog featuring updates from the festival.

The Colorado band, featuring husband-wife duo Patrick Riley and Alaina Moore, closes out the outdoor Main Stage of UMS, 99 S Broadway, at 8:30 p.m. Sunday. Expect to hear plenty from the Denver band's acclaimed 2014 album "Ritual in Repeat."

Strawberry Runners

This indie-pop group quickly became one of Denver's biggest buzz bands after claiming a spot on NPR Music's list of 100 artists to see at this year's SXSW Music Festival in Austin. See them at Hi-Dive, 7 S Broadway, Thursday at 11 p.m.

Ian Cooke

With a new dinosaur-themed album, cellist-singer Ian Cooke will appear at UMS for two performances. He'll play at South Broadway Christian Church, 23 Lincoln, Friday at 11 p.m., and again at 10 p.m. on Saturday night in the same venue for a solo show.

Residual Kid

This teenage Austin band is no stranger to Denver or the UMS, as they performed on the Main Stage last year. Since then they've signed to Sire Records. They'll celebrate with two shows at this year's festival: Friday at 3 Kings Tavern, 60 S Broadway, at midnight, and Saturday at Hi-Dive, 7 S Broadway, at 5 p.m.

Oko Tygra

The shoegaze-inspired project of Denver musician Joshua Novak performed at last year's CMJ festival in New York City. Catch them at the Main Stage, 99 S Broadway, Sunday at 3:30 p.m.

Bear Antler

The Americana-fueled rock 'n' roll of Denver's Bear Antler kicks off the UMS festivities with an 11 p.m. show at Illegal Pete's, 270 S Broadway, on Thursday night.

This Denver trio crafts intricate guitar riffs that bring to mind early R.E.M. and Canadian band Women. They play at 10 p.m. Sunday at Irish Rover, 54 S Broadway.

Josh Moorehead & the GuestList

Moorehead and his band pack a potent Americana-jazz sound, so expect their music to fill out the Skylark Lounge, 140 S Broadway, at 9p.m. Thursday.

Rose Quartz

One of Colorado's finest synth-rock acts, Rose Quartz features former members of FLASH/LIGHTS and Mancub. They perform at 5 p.m. Saturday on the Main Stage, 99 S Broadway.

The Raven & the Writing Desk

The Raven & the Writing Desk returns to UMS with a new dream-pop sound established on the "Some Get Started" EP. They'll bring it to Eslinger Gallery, 118 S Broadway, at 9 p.m. Friday night.

Wild High

Another reason not to miss day one of UMS: Young garage-psych band Wild High performs at Hi-Dive, 7 S Broadway, Thursday at midnight.
