Ducktails: ‘Surreal Exposure’

Los Angeles Baroque pop act Ducktails returned in July with its fifth record, "St Catherine."

On standout track "Surreal Exposure," singer-songwriter-producer Matt Mondanile croons dreamily over a wash of synthesizers and acoustic guitars. The track clocks in at under three minutes, but it bursts with so many hooks and melodies it could hold together a song twice that length.
