Aspen Mayor Steve Skadron is heading to Paris this week to participate in the global climate change conference, bringing with him the perspective of a town reliant on both snow and luxury.

The Aspen Daily News reports that Skadron is flying on Wednesday to France, where he will spend six days at and around the U.N. Climate Change Conference.

Skadron says he is excited to talk about Aspen's track record on environmental issues and the city's efforts to stem its impact on pollution and carbon.
