A slow moving storm system is expected to dump three to six inches on metro Denver and roughly eight to 10 inches in the mountains. Todd Dankers of the National Weather Service rated the storm on a scale of 1-to-10:

“Probably about a 5. Maybe a 6... how about we go with a 4 or 5? It’s a going to be more of a nuisance storm because people have to deal with the slow commute tomorrow morning. Possibly a sloppy commute Friday afternoon," he said. "But the amounts should be manageable enough.”

Dankers says cold weather will follow the storm when the snow tapers off in the early afternoon tomorrow.
