"Everybody’s really excited about it," said Wolf Creek co-owner Rosanne Pitcher. "Conditions have been fabulous."

Pitcher said this year could be the first time in five years the ski area could reach its annual average of 430 inches of snow.

Other resorts are doing well so far, too. Steamboat Springs has more than 170 inches of snow and Loveland more than 150. Winter Park has recorded more than 140 inches.
