Violent Femmes are back with their first full-length record since 2000. "We Can Do Anything," the Milwaukee alternative band's ninth album, is out March 4.
The album arrives after last year's comeback EP "Happy New Year." It ended a long hiatus for the band, which formed in 1980. It also follows singer and founding member Gordon Gano's recent move to Denver.
The single "Memory" has all the qualities of classic Violent Femmes music: Gano's laid-back nasal vocals, a strong acoustic instrument presence and an effortlessly catchy melody.
