Denver Housing Prices Continue On A Tear

Chart: Case Shiller December 2015

Only Portland and San Francisco have seen faster home appreciation over the last year, according to the S&P Case Shiller Home Price Index.

Denver is growing at about double the national rate. In fact, Denver is in the midst of a remarkable four-year run of price increases – up 41 percent over that span. It was one of the first cities tracked by S&P to eclipse pre-recession home values.

And, so far, the housing market remains unfazed by the recent oil and gas downturn.
