One of Colorado’s largest oil and gas companies is beginning layoffs.
A spokesman for Encana Corp. declined to give a specific number of jobs lost across Colorado. But in a recent earnings call, President and CEO Doug Suttles said the company had plans to reduce Encana's workforce by 20 percent this year.
The move comes one week after another major player in Colorado, Anadarko Petroleum. announced a significant workforce reduction.
