Loveland Publishing Emails Of City Council Members

· Aug. 8, 2016, 3:47 pm

The city of Loveland is publishing the emails of city council members.

Loveland, Fort Collins and Larimer County are now allowing the public to see what their elected officials are sending. Only their government email accounts are accessible.

City Manager Steve Adams says it's a way of making government more transparent.

The Loveland Reporter-Herald reports the public previously had to make appointments to see the emails.

Communications marked confidential by councilors or other senders will not be viewable.
