Father John Misty -- singer-songwriter Josh Tillman -- last year released "I Love You, Honeybear." Staff and listeners of CPR's OpenAir voted it the fifth best album of 2015.
The album shows a tender side of Tillman. It features confessional love songs written to his wife, Emma. He follows that theme with his first new single after "I Love You, Honeybear": "Real Love Baby," out now on Sub Pop Records.
The song is a dreamy, feel-good anthem about love with a sing-along chorus that harkens back to the Beatles and the Velvet Underground's "Loaded" album.
