C Duncan, ‘Other Side’

If C Duncan's music seems like it might sound at home on CPR Classical, the Scottish musician's back story should come as no surprise. Duncan is the son of two classical musicians. He grew up playing viola and piano and studied music composition at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland.

But Duncan also has a strong rock and pop background. His single "Other Side" contains hazy trip-hop and shoegaze elements along with harmonies that showcase his classical upbringing. It comes off "The Midnight Sun," the follow-up to his Mercury Prize-nominated debut LP.
