Agnes Obel addresses modern-day phenomena like surveillance and social media on her latest album. "Citizen Of Glass" -- named for a German concept relating to surveillance -- finds the Danish singer-songwriter experimenting with new instruments and production techniques to capture the sound of a "glass person."
On "Familiar," Obel shifts and distorts her vocals to give them a somewhat sinister quality. Layered strings, piano and other instruments add to the song's otherworldly sound.
