Spirettes: ‘Dying Woman’

· Dec. 25, 2017, 7:54 am

We met Spirettes last month during our Mile High Noon On The Road special in Colorado Springs. The trio formed after bassist Kellie Palmblad was inspired by a Courtney Barnett show in Denver last year. She soon recruited guitarist and singer Kate Perdoni (formerly of Eros & The Eschaton) and drummer Emily Gould.

Spirettes released a self-titled debut EP earlier this month featuring hook-filled vocal harmonies. The trio explores a minimalist blend of shoegaze and punk rock on songs like the slow-burning "Dying Woman."
