The Voidz released their sophomore album, "Virtue," earlier this year. Led by Strokes frontman Julian Casablancas, the six-piece plays with a wide variety of experimental sounds and genres on the new record. There's even some Auto-Tuned vocals on the standout single “QYURRYUS.”

The Voidz came to CPR's OpenAir for a Guest DJ session before a show at the Gothic Theatre. The band's song selections included music from India, Turkey and Niger, as well as from renowned American artists Stevie Wonder and Donnie Hathaway.

The band members spoke with Alisha Sweeney about how they share music with one another and the international influences on their own music. Stream the interview above.
