Gov. Jared Polis will deliver a speech at the Western Conservative Summit in Denver on Friday morning.

Officials with the summit say it is the first time a Democratic official is addressing the gathering of conservative thinkers. Polis will speak at 9:45 a.m. Friday at the Colorado Convention Center in Denver.

Other speakers at the two-day event include Donald Trump Jr., HUD Secretary Ben Carson and U.S. Senator Cory Gardner, among dozens of others.

The summit is the largest gathering of conservatives in the West, organizers say. It is hosted by the Centennial Institute and Colorado Christian University.
