Boulder-based 3rd Law Dance/Theater continues to showcase its work with local musicians in “Elision Project Volume 3,” Friday through Sunday at the Dairy Arts Center.
This iteration of the series features choreography by artistic co-director Katie Elliott with the dancers, and live music from Bonnie Paine of Elephant Revival with Enion Pelta-Tiller of Taarka, guitarist and composer Janet Feder with Colin Bricker, the Ars Nova Singers, and Paul Fowler, who is also artistic co-director of the dance company.
A definition of elision is “the process of joining together or merging things, especially abstract ideas.” I got to sit in for a dress rehearsal Thursday afternoon. There’s no larger narrative with this show, simply a coming together of music, dance and ideas.
“Elision Project Volume 3” runs at the Dairy Arts Center in Boulder Nov. 22 - 24, 2019.
