The public lands at the center of the dispute in Colorado are in the San Luis Valley near the New Mexico border….More firefighters are on their way to help fight a wildfire near the Wyoming border.

The Colorado Secretary of State’s office says the “Personhood Amendment” will not be on the ballot this November because supporters failed to gather enough valid signatures. But Personhood Colorado is filing a legal appeal to try and overturn that decision…Officials are preparing to provide an update on the investigation into what started the Waldo Canyon Fire, the Gazette reports.

Air Force Cadets Help Clean Biomass from Mountain Shadows

It’s been two months since the Waldo Canyon fire ripped through the Mountain Shadows neighborhood, destroying nearly 350 homes in the process. As residents of the community sift through the damages, one of their own put together an effort to help clean up some of the downed trees and even the surviving vegetation.
