About the Position:

The Mid-Level Gift Officer cultivates, solicits, and stewards individual donors giving between $1,000 and $10,000 annually. You would play a crucial role in the success of our fundraising team by cultivating and stewarding donors who have the potential to increase their giving over time. You would help bridge the gap between annual fund supporters and major donors by building meaningful relationships, identifying donor interests, and creating personalized engagement strategies. This role is instrumental in building donor retention, increasing annual giving, and helping CPR expand its fundraising capacity.

The new hire is expected to reside in the greater Denver metro area upon starting - this is not a remote position, however a hybrid schedule is available.

About You:

You are a strong relationship builder who enjoys finding meaningful ways to connect with donors, customers and clients. You thrive on connecting with individuals, learning what motivates them, and crafting personalized messages that resonate. You are organized, persistent, and resilient in the face of rejection. You are disciplined in managing your portfolio, following up on every detail with care and professionalism. You collaborate well with others and understand the value of teamwork in a fundraising environment. You take initiative, pursue goals with focus, and adapt quickly to change—all while keeping donor interests at the heart of your work.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in fundraising or a related field such as sales or customer service that involves managing a portfolio of donors, clients, or accounts.
  • Demonstrated success in building relationships over time - cultivating, soliciting and stewarding donors or clients.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience creating compelling messaging and proposals.
  • Experience collaborating across teams and working closely with major gift  officers,  other customer relationship managers, marketing teams, or membership teams on overall donor / customer strategies.
  • Experience with Salesforce or another Customer Relationship Management System.
  • Experience with data management best practices.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, to exercise strong prioritization skills, and meet deadlines.
  • Strong critical thinking, decision making, and problem solving skills.
  • Understanding of ethical fundraising standards and donor confidentiality practices.

Education Equivalency:

  • A fully relatable bachelor’s degree or associate’s degree may replace some of the required years of experience.
