Thousands of teachers are rallying at the state Capitol today and tomorrow to protest working conditions, including low pay and lack of student funding. Eugene Sheehan, the dean of the College of Education and Behavioral Sciences at the University of Northern Colorado, tells Colorado Matters that the profession faces an increasing number of challenges, and says recruiting teachers is getting tougher. Low wages are only part of the problem.
