First Look: The Clyfford Still Museum

Listen Now

Denver's newest museum is devoted to the life and work of one man, Clyfford Still. Legally, no other artist's work can be shown there. Still, who died in 1980, was one of the leading American abstract expressionist painters, but most of his work has never been seen before by the public. The Still museum's collection of approximately 2,400 paintings and drawings represents nearly 94 percent of the artist's artistic output. Ryan Warner visits the museum with its director, Dean Sobel.
