The National Geographic Channel miniseries "Mars" tells the story of the first people sent to live on Mars in the year 2033. While the drama is fictional, the program periodically switches to present-day documentaries to highlight the real science being done now to get humans to the red planet.
Connecting that real science to the fictional drama was the job of technical consultant Bobby Braun, the new dean of engineering at the University of Colorado. "Mars" premieres Monday, November 14. Braun spoke with Colorado Matters host Ryan Warner.
