Experimental folk band Chimney Choir and dance troupe Wonderbound join forces this month for "Aphrodite's Switchboard." It's a new ballet that places Greek mythological figures in the present day.
Chimney Choir wrote and performed the original music for the show. The Denver-based sextet previously worked with Wonderbound for the 2015 production "Boomtown."
CPR's OpenAir filmed and recorded a performance of "Aphrodite's Switchboard" at the Pinnacle Charter School in collaboration with Rocky Mountain PBS and Colorado Public Television. Join us for an airing of that performance on Saturday, March 10, at 8 p.m.
In the meantime, watch Wonderbound and Chimney Choir perform "Patterns" above. See more video below.

This is part of a collaboration with Colorado Public Television (CPT 12) and Rocky Mountain PBS to explore the arts through a variety of lenses. Throughout the year, the project extends a shared commitment by each organization to enrich the Colorado community with programming that’s locally focused around arts and culture.
