Event Description

Join Colorado Public Radio’s "Turn the Page with Colorado Matters," in conjunction with LitFest, on June 12 at LightHouse Writers Workshop’s Beacon Hall for a live, on-stage recording featuring author Rachel Weaver and CPR’s very own Ryan Warner.

Before becoming a writer, Weaver studied bears and birds in Alaska, work that demanded steadiness on her feet. But one morning in 2006, shortly after moving to Colorado, she woke up dizzy. It was the start of a medical mystery that would drag on for more than a decade. She even contemplated ending her life. Weaver’s new memoir, “Dizzy,” is the story of her inner life and of a broken healthcare system.

Pick up a copy of "Dizzy," then settle in as Ryan explores Rachel’s account of a mysterious illness, the medical system that failed to address it, and the life that refused to wait. We hope to see you there!

This event is sold out.
