So there was that... thing with President Trump and former Vice President Biden the other night. Which taught us exactly how chaotic a political debate can be. Starting on Friday, Senator Cory Gardner and his Democratic challenger John Hickenlooper will start their own string of debates and they will -- probably -- sound very different. This week on Purplish, our team discusses what's at stake for the candidates and what voters tell us they want to hear.

CPR is partnering with the Denver Post and the Denver Channel for a Senate debate on October 9th at 5pm. Submit your questions for the candidates by leaving a voicemail at 303-871-9191 x480. Tell us your name, where in Colorado you live, and what you want to the candidates to answer.

Follow our hosts on Twitter: @caitlynkim, @BenteBirkeland, @AndyKnny And we want to hear what matters to you: take CPR's voter survey.
