Colorado Public Radio’s Board of Directors names three new members

CENTENNIAL, Colo. – Jan. 3, 2012 – Newly-appointed directors Christie Cadwell, Carolyn Daniels and Bryant Reber bring extensive business management and nonprofit experience to Colorado Public Radio’s (CPR) board of directors.

“Christie, Carolyn and Bryant are all proven leaders whose professional backgrounds add considerable value to the board,” said Warren Olsen, board chair. “I’m confident that their contributions will enhance our leadership capabilities and am looking forward to working with them as we continue to deliver quality news and music programming to our listeners.”

“As a community-driven organization, the board plays a vital role in ensuring CPR’s success and growth,” said Max Wycisk, president of Colorado Public Radio. “New talent, new ideas and sound leadership are critical as we advance our mission and strengthen our connections in Colorado.”

Christie Cadwell established her career in telecommunications and engineering, having previously worked at C–Cube Microsystems as a developer of key components for digital video applications like DVDs, satellite television and HDTV. She also worked at Handspring (later acquired by Palm, Inc.) as part of the team that developed the Handspring Treo. Cadwell served as a professor of engineering at the University of Colorado, Boulder and is currently a graduate student studying architecture at the University of Colorado, Denver.

Carolyn Daniels now holds the position Of Counsel at Bryan Cave, a leading business and litigation law firm which merged with the Denver-based firm of Holme Roberts & Owen LLP on Jan. 1, 2012. Daniels was a partner at Holme Roberts & Owen, spending more than 30 years developing her practice in a wide range of issues, including employee benefits and executive compensation for public and private companies. She has also served on the boards of the Denver Public Library Friends Foundation and the Colorado Endowment for the Humanities, as well as the Denver Foundation’s Arts and Culture Advisory Committee.

Bryant Reber has more than three decades of experience as an investment advisor, founding two investment consulting businesses and serving as president, chief executive officer and chairman throughout his career.
