Warren Olsen, Co-Founder of First Western Financial, Elected to Chair the Board
CENTENNIAL, Colo. – July 27, 2010 – Colorado Public Radio's (CPR) board of directors named Warren Olsen board chair. In addition, newly-appointed directors Robert Corder, Melinda Quiat and April Thayer, whose three-year terms started July 1, bring extensive business and nonprofit knowledge to the board.
Olsen replaces former chair Virginia Berkeley, who will remain on the board. Current director Justin Borus will assume the role of board treasurer, a position previously held by Olsen. Dean Salter will continue as board secretary.
“These are difficult times for all nonprofit organizations, and I want to personally thank our listeners for their generous support,” said Warren Olsen. “Because of their contributions, CPR finished the 2010 fiscal year on solid financial footing, which means we can go on providing the quality news and music programming that Coloradans know and appreciate.”

Robert Corder is a principal and partner with The Dini Partners, Inc., which provides counsel in philanthropy and nonprofit management. Melinda Quiat is the chief executive officer of The Quiat Companies, which is actively involved in real estate and oil and gas investment. April Thayer is president of Thayer Media, a strategic media planning and buying agency based in Denver.
