CENTENNIAL, Colo., Nov. 17 - Indie 102.3 announced today the promotion of Bruce Trujillo to the position of assistant program director, effective immediately. Trujillo has been an on-air host since 2016 with the station, which is the independent music discovery service from Colorado Public Radio. She most recently served in the additional role of promotions coordinator, in charge of liaising with concert promoters, venues and artists.
“I am thrilled to elevate Bruce to assistant program director,” said Program Director Willobee Carlan. “She has proven to be a linchpin in our team, wearing many hats and helping lead us into the next decade, growing our audience and our connection to the community. Her passion and skills are great assets to both the station and Colorado.”
Trujillo has over 14 years of radio experience in Colorado. She started her career at KMSA, Colorado Mesa University’s student-run radio station, and had a stint as the music, production and web director of KAFM Grand Junction.
“I'm proud to be part of Indie 102.3. We have the challenge and privilege of broadcasting in a community that has no shortage of great radio stations across the dial. The challenge, of course, is finding and playing sounds and voices that aren't being represented on-air here in Colorado. The privilege is being part of a revered organization, Colorado Public Radio.
