  • Centennial, Colo., Dec. 21, 2022 – Colorado Public Radio is celebrating a half century on air, belatedly recognizing 50 years with what it’s calling its “50-ish” anniversary. KCFR-FM, the first station that would become Colorado Public Radio, was granted its FCC license in 1970.

  • Centennial, Colo., Aug. 3, 2022 – “Music Blocks,” the music appreciation podcast from Colorado Public Radio, returns for its second season on August 16.
  • Denver, July 12, 2022 – Colorado Public Radio earned five first-place awards from the Public Media Journalists Association, the highest number of first-place awards among the 100+ winning organizations.  The awards cover a range of categories: Enterprise, Feature, Investigative Journalism, Interview Podcast and Series.
